Nigel Delaney is an accomplished expert in computational biology with extensive experience in both academic and industrial settings. Currently, Nigel serves as Vice President of Computational Biology at 10x Genomics since May 2018, having previously held roles including Senior Director and Director in the same department. Prior to 10x Genomics, Nigel was Vice President of Computational Biology at GenePeeks, Inc. and held positions at Pacific Biosciences as a Staff Scientist and Senior Scientist in bioinformatics. Nigel's research background includes positions as a Research Fellow at Massachusetts General Hospital and the Broad Institute. Nigel earned a Ph.D. in Evolutionary Genetics and a Master of Arts in Statistics from Harvard University, along with dual bachelor degrees in Biology and History from UC San Diego.
