Hạ Minh Lâm ⎇ᴸᵃᵐ ᴴᵃ has had a varied work experience, beginning in 2008 when they were an Intern at Sunrise Software Solutions Corporation (S3 Corp.). In 2009, they moved to Gameloft as a Mobile Game Developer, where they developed games for mobile phones using Java and C++, as well as optimised software applications for use on low-end mobile phones. In 2010, they returned to Oxford University Clinical Research Unit as a Research Assistant, where they designed and developed a multi-threaded, cross-platform (Mac/Linux), Java-based graphical software tool. In 2015, they moved to Duke University as a Doctoral Research Fellow, before returning to Oxford University Clinical Research Unit in 2016 as a Doctoral Research Fellow. Here, they investigated transmission patterns of infectious diseases, using mathematical modelling and machine learning methods, and developed simulation and prediction models for infectious diseases. In 2021, they moved to MTI Technology as a Senior Data Scientist, where they led a team of 3 data scientists in designing and performing analyses on healthcare-related data to provide business insights to clients. Finally, they are currently at Zymo Research Corp. as a Lead Data Scientist.
Hạ Minh Lâm ⎇ᴸᵃᵐ ᴴᵃ has a comprehensive educational background. From 2017 to 2020, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy in Mathematical Modelling* (with application to clinical medicine) at the University of Oxford. From 2012 to 2013, they completed their Master of Science in Quantitative Genetics and Genome Analysis at the University of Edinburgh. Lastly, from 2005 to 2009, they completed their Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Software Engineering at the International University - VNU HCMC.
