Danette Fitzgerald is an experienced Optical Systems Engineer with a solid background in the field spanning multiple reputable organizations. Currently, Danette has been with Zygo Corporation since March 2014, focusing on the introduction of new metrology products and streamlining manufacturing processes. Prior to this, Danette worked at MIT Lincoln Laboratory, where optical test sets were developed for laser communication terminals, and at ITT and Geospatial Systems, providing optical analysis and modeling in support of telescope integration and testing. Danette's early career included research roles at Cornell University, where skills in integration and test of spectrometers and interferometers were honed, and internships at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center involving thermal control programming and optical alignment. Danette holds an MEng and a BS in Applied & Engineering Physics from Cornell University.
