Luis Sotomayor has worked for a number of companies since 2004. Luis began their career at Xerox Corporation as a Software Engineer before becoming a Contractor for Geograffiti.com in 2008. Luis then worked as a Software Engineer for MySpace and Bank of America, and as a Senior Software Engineer and Senior Software Engineer/Consultant for Bank of America. From 2011-2013, they worked as a Software Engineer for Zynx Health, and then as a Senior Software Engineer for Futuredontics, Inc. from 2013-2017. Most recently, they have been working as the Vice President of Engineering for Zuub since 2023.

Luis Sotomayor received their Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2000, followed by their Master of Science in Computer Science from the same university in 2005.
