Killian Smyth is an accomplished cybersecurity professional with extensive experience in incident response and IT support. Currently serving as the Regional Lead Cyber Response at Zurich Insurance plc since June 2014, Killian has previously held roles as a Cyber Incident Responder and an IT Support and Security Analyst at the Department of Communications Dublin. With a foundational background as a Network & Telecoms Support Engineer at Garda Headquarters, Killian has proficiency in networking, system administration, and cybersecurity practices. Holding a Bachelor of Science in Networking and Support from Dundalk Institute of Technology, along with a Fetac Level 6 qualification in Data Networking and CCNA, Killian provides a strong technical foundation complemented by hands-on experience in various technical environments.
