Roman Kaplun is the CEO and Co-Founder of Zoolatech, a high-end software engineering company established in Palo Alto in 2017, with a workforce of 500 delivering custom software development, UX/UI design, and cybersecurity solutions. Roman serves on the Dean’s Advisory Board for the W. Frank Barton School of Business at Wichita State University, offering insights to bridge Silicon Valley innovations with the academic community. Prior experience includes a decade at Expedia Group, where Roman held roles as Director of Technology and Director of Engineering, managing substantial teams and overseeing critical technological functions. Roman's earlier positions encompassed quality assurance and engineering roles at organizations including IAC, Hotwire, and Thomson Reuters, with initial training as a Merchant Marine Cadet and a strong academic foundation from California State University Maritime Academy.
