Chris Bonar is a highly experienced veterinary professional with a focus on animal health and nutrition. Currently serving as Senior Veterinarian at Zoo New England since February 2021, Chris previously held the position of Director of Animal Health at Dallas Zoo Management from January 2013 to December 2020, overseeing Veterinary Care and Animal Nutrition. Prior roles include Chief Veterinarian at the Dallas World Aquarium and Chairman of the Board of Trustees at The Angiogenesis Foundation. Chris began veterinary career as an associate veterinarian at Cleveland Metroparks Zoo from July 1994 to May 2010. Educational background includes a V.M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania and an AB in biology from Harvard University.
