Talib has worked as a research associate at the Public Policy Institute of California and research assistant at the Varieties of Democracy (V-Dem) Institute based in Gothenburg, Sweden. He is a doctoral candidate in literature and critical race and ethnic studies at the University of California, Santa Cruz.
