Himel Mondal is an experienced Autonomy Engineer with a strong background in robotics and computer vision. Currently employed at Zipline since October 2022, Himel focuses on Droid Motion Planning. Previously, Himel worked at Skydio from June 2020 to September 2022, contributing to the launch of Skydio 3D Scan. As a Co-Founder and Robotics Software Engineer at Kiyo Robotics from September 2019 to May 2020, Himel led software development for efficient piece picking robots. Additional experience includes roles in autonomy at Skydio, computer vision at Anki, augmented reality at Placenote, rapid prototyping at Canon Innovation Lab, software testing at TribalScale, and technical assistance at the University of Windsor. Himel holds an Honours Mechatronics Engineering degree from the University of Waterloo, completed between 2015 and 2020.
