Lorna Johnston has extensive experience in leadership and management roles, particularly in sustainability and communications. Since September 2018, Lorna has served as Head of Transition and Transformation at Zero Waste Scotland, guiding the organization through its transition to a public body and overseeing its transformation initiatives. Previous roles include Head of Programmes and Projects and Programme Manager (Transformation) at Zero Waste Scotland, where Lorna focused on advancing the corporate plan to combat climate change. Lorna also contributed to the Energy Saving Trust as Head of Communications and Engagement, leading a marketing team and overseeing various campaigns related to energy efficiency and sustainable transport. Earlier experience includes positions at Standard Life Aberdeen and Citi, with a strong background in shareholder communications and marketing. Lorna holds a BA (hons) in Communications from Queen Margaret University and the APM Project Management Qualification from the Association for Project Management.
