Alwin Bakkenes is an experienced technology leader with a strong focus on software engineering and automotive innovation. Currently serving as the Head of Software Engineering at Volvo Cars since November 2022, Alwin leads a team developing next-generation mobility technologies, enhancing customer experiences in safe automation and infotainment. Concurrently, Alwin holds several board positions, including Chairman of the Board at Zenseact, an AI software company aimed at improving car safety, and at HaleyTek AB, which creates the Android Infotainment Platform for various automotive brands. Previously, Alwin served as Vice President at Aptiv, Executive Vice President at Luxoft, and CEO of Pelagicore AB, contributing to significant advancements in automated driving and connected vehicle systems. Alwin's educational background includes a Master's in Knowledge Management from Middlesex University and a Bachelor's in Computer Science from Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences.
