Rick Terroe

Rick Terroe began their work experience as the Chief Operating Officer at Zensa LLC. in March 2015. In this role, they had a comprehensive understanding of all programs and services offered by the company and utilized cross-program strengths to address organizational challenges. Rick also built and developed a high-performing senior management team focused on strategic analysis, planning, and program budgeting.

In May 2017, Rick joined Microsoft as a Sr. Strategy & Operations Management Consultant. Here, they were responsible for program operations and strategic management for Microsoft's Consumer Marketing Engineering & IT Venture Integration teams. Their responsibilities included operations management, portfolio management, budget management, workforce planning and implementation, and vendor management.

Prior to their role at Microsoft, Rick also held various positions within the company. From December 1998 to October 2002, they served as a Sr. Business Analyst, followed by their role as Chief of Staff from October 2002 to December 2014. As Chief of Staff, they managed multi-projects and business operations for Microsoft's IT Chief Technology Officer, overseeing a large team and budget. Their responsibilities included compliance training management, merger and acquisition activities, data center management, and vendor management, among others.

Rick Terroe has a diverse education background. Rick holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Accounting and Business/Management from Harvard Business School. Rick also obtained a Master's Degree in Public Health from Harvard Kennedy School. Additionally, they have dual Bachelor of Arts degrees, one in General Science and the other in Management, from Seattle University. Furthermore, Rick Terroe holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Biochemistry from the University of Washington. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained an Enterprise OKR Leadership certification from Ally.io, a Microsoft Company, in May 2022.
