Previously, Maurice was Chief of Staff for the City of Chicago under Mayor Lori E. Lightfoot, where responsibilities included managing a large mayoral staff, overseeing a $11 billion budget, and navigating challenges such as a labor strike and global pandemic. Experience also includes leading strategy at the Chicago Police Department and developing violence prevention initiatives at the MacArthur Foundation. Maurice's legal expertise stems from a Juris Doctor from the University of Washington School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in International Politics from Georgetown University.
