Rene Hessling is a seasoned professional in the field of microscopy, currently serving as the Managing Director and Head of Research Microscopy Solutions for ZEISS Australia and New Zealand since March 2015. In this role, Rene develops and executes strategic initiatives for the region, focusing on marketing, sales, and service activities across various scientific markets. Prior experience includes serving as Sales Manager in Germany for Carl Zeiss Microscopy GmbH, where responsibilities encompassed managing sales and service for microscopy portfolios and financial operations. Additionally, Rene held the position of Head of Microscopy Division at Carl Zeiss Ltd in the UK and Ireland, and prior roles involved establishing a support team for sales across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America. Rene holds a Dr. rer. nat. degree in Biology from Universität Osnabrück.
