Michael Allen

Senior IT Services Specialist at Zapproved

Michael Allen has a diverse work experience in the IT field. Michael started their career as a Junior Novell Network Administrator at Fujitsu Computer Products of America in 1997. Michael then worked at Compucom Systems-Nortel Networks as a Desktop Support Engineer, where they were responsible for installing, maintaining, and upgrading computer hardware.

In 1999, Michael joined UptimeOne Inc as a Systems Administrator, where they provided support to 50 clients in a Windows and Macintosh environment. Michael also handled Lotus Notes administration and performed nightly backups of internal and customer data marts.

After that, Michael worked at Qualys Inc as a Systems Administrator, where they supported over 100 users in a Windows, Macintosh, and Linux environment. Michael was responsible for desktop support, Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange administration, and DNS administration.

In 2005, Michael joined Netflix as a Sr. Client Technology Engineer and worked there for 10 years. Michael then joined Jama Software in 2015 as an IT Support Specialist before transitioning to the role of Senior IT Services Specialist. In 2016, they briefly worked at Craft Brew Alliance as an IT Support Specialist before becoming an Apple Platform Engineer at Nike.

Most recently, Michael returned to the position of Senior IT Services Specialist at Zapproved in December 2019.

Michael Allen attended the University of California, Davis from 1994 to 1996. There, they studied Agricultural Economics. In addition to their formal education, they obtained several certifications, such as the Certified JSS Administrator (CJA) from JAMF Software in September 2013, the Certified Casper Administrator (CCA) from JAMF Software in September 2012, and the VMware AirWatch Associate Accreditation: Enterprise Mobility in March 2017.
