Morten Dahl has a long and varied work experience. Starting in 1999, they worked as a Junior Software Engineer for EliteWeb. In 2005, they worked as a Software Engineer for Aalborg University (AUB). From 2008 to 2010, they were a Teaching Assistant and Teacher in cryptography for grammar school students at Aarhus University. In 2010, they returned to Aalborg University as a Software Engineer. From 2014 to 2015, they were a Lead Software Engineer at Zenly, Inc., where they were responsible for developing a location-aware Android app. From 2015 to 2018, they were a Lead Cryptographer and Data Scientist at Snips, where they designed and implemented specialised secure computation protocols and privacy-aware machine learning systems. In 2018, they worked as a Machine Learning Engineer for Datadog. Finally, in 2022, they are set to become the General Manager of Zama.
Morten Dahl began their education in 2003 when they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Aalborg University. Morten then went on to become a Visiting M.Sc. student in Computer Science at both Aarhus University and The University of Edinburgh in 2006 and 2007, respectively. In 2007, they obtained a Master of Science (MS) in Computer Science from Aalborg University. From 2008 to 2009, they were a Researcher in Computer Science at Aalborg University. Morten then became a Visiting Researcher in Computer Science at Ecole normale supérieure in 2009 to 2010. Morten Dahl completed their education in 2013 when they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science from Aarhus University.
