Andrew Shand has extensive work experience in the energy industry. Andrew started their career with Shell Oil Company in 2003, where they worked as a Fuels Scheduler until 2008. Andrew then joined Z Energy Limited in 2008 and held various roles including Assistant Manager (Terminal) and Terminal Operations Specialist. Since 2014, they have taken on roles of increasing responsibility at Z Energy Limited, including HSSE Manager in Retail & Commercial, Product Owner - Digital HSSE, Head of Safety and Wellbeing, and most recently as the Head of Safety, Wellbeing and Risk. Andrew has demonstrated a strong focus on safety, wellbeing, and risk management throughout their career.

Andrew Shand has completed the NEBOSH international diploma in occupational safety and health from NEBOSH. Andrew has also obtained certification as a Certified Scrum Product Owner from Equinox Learning, specializing in Scrum methodology and Product Ownership.
