Philip Courtney has served as the Chief Executive Officer of Urban Arts since 2003, where a significant transformation occurred under Philip's leadership to focus on teaching digital game design and related skills to underrepresented students. Previously, Philip was a Teaching Artist at DreamYard Project from 1996 to 2003, delivering arts-based programs in NYC public schools and coaching teachers on arts integration. Additionally, Philip worked as a Workshop Trainer for The Leadership Program, where responsibilities included developing reading literacy curriculum and conducting arts and leadership workshops for educators. Philip's educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Modern Languages from the University of London, alongside studies at Columbia Business School and Bradfield College.
