Wendy Kemp is an experienced professional with a strong background in environmental management and infrastructure asset oversight, currently serving as the Director of Infrastructure Asset Management for the York Region since July 2003. In this role, Wendy has led the development of the Regional Climate Change Action Plan and created an emergency management playbook to support business continuity within Environmental Services. Wendy has also held acting roles as Director of Infrastructure Asset Management and Director of Strategy and Innovation, focusing on strategic initiatives such as talent development, regulatory compliance, and corporate energy management. Prior to this, Wendy managed business support services for water and wastewater operations and oversaw groundwater management programs. With a Master's degree in biogeochemistry from York University and a Joint Honours Bachelor of Environmental Studies from the University of Waterloo, Wendy is well-equipped to navigate complex environmental challenges.
