Sunny V. began their career in 2007 as a Technology Analyst at Infosys Technologies Ltd, where they implemented security frameworks and developed applets/tools for signing form data with a certificate stored within the browser. In 2011, they moved to Apple as a Consultant, leading a 5 person offshore team and helping to architect and implement backend services and infrastructure for Apple store applications. From 2013 to 2018, Sunny V. worked at Nest Labs as a Senior Software Engineer, helping to architect, design and build highly scalable, distributed systems and implementing application layer networking protocol suite called Weave. In 2018, they transitioned to Google as a Senior Software Engineer and Team Lead, leading the Play Store app distribution team and improving reliability of app distribution pipeline and app installation success rates by 12%. Currently, Sunny V. is a Software Generalist and Lead Engineer at Yohana, working to architect, build a scalable, multi region fault tolerant, global IoT platform that can onboard many classes of devices.

Sunny V. attended Kennedy High School from 1989 to 2001. After that, they completed a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Telecommunications at the Pune Institute of Computer Technology from 2003 to 2007.
