Since 1873 the University YMCA has sponsored programs, organizations and activities dedicated to fostering ethical and principled leadership dedicated to building a better world, better human relations and better care for the Earth. We help students build leadership skills in a real world context. We facilitate conversations that contribute to actions, advocacy, and efforts to make change in the C-U community and the world.

The NAWC Team at the YMCA of the University of Illinois focuses on supporting and integrating new American residents in the community. This team provides a variety of services including legal assistance, outreach programs, and specialized projects to help immigrants achieve stability and inclusion. They also work on securing grants and managing projects to enhance the resources available for immigrant support and advocacy.
