Sibel Cicek is an accomplished leader in government relations and public policy, currently serving as the Director/General Manager of Government Relations and Public Policy at the YMCA of Greater Toronto since July 2018, where efforts focus on enhancing community well-being and addressing social determinants of health. Prior experience includes directing public policy at Children's Mental Health Ontario, where Sibel led initiatives to influence government support for child and youth mental health, and serving as a Senior Policy Advisor at the Ontario Ministry of Education, advising on early learning legislation. Earlier roles featured a position as Policy Advisor for Right To Play, advocating for international development and peace. Sibel holds a Master’s degree in International Development & Political Science from the University of Guelph and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Sociology from Queen's University, alongside executive education in Non-Profit Leadership from Harvard University.
