Jason Corbett has a diverse work experience in the legal and finance industries. Jason currently holds the position of General Partner at Nemesis Litigation Funding since 2022. Prior to this, they were the Managing Partner of Silk Legal, a boutique law firm in Bangkok, where they led key practices such as corporate, insolvency, M&A, and fintech. Jason also contributed to global consortiums and monitored regulatory developments.

Before Silk Legal, Jason served as the Group General Counsel at Yield App starting in 2020. From 2019 to 2020, they worked as the General Counsel at EQIBank, an offshore digital bank, providing guidance on legal matters and strategic expansion.

In 2018, Jason was the Chairman of Silk Krypto, where they formulated business and legal frameworks for blockchain ventures. Jason also expanded the firm's network in the blockchain community. Jason previously worked as a Blockchain Legal Consultant at IBC Group and as the Chief Investment Officer at Silver Cord Advisory, investing in SE Asian start-ups.

In addition, Jason founded Jawas Limited, a marketplace connecting buyers and sellers of failed startup assets. In 2000, they attended The University of Lethbridge and obtained a Bachelor of Management degree.

From 2002 to 2005, they studied at Bond University and earned a Bachelor of Laws degree.

In 2005, they attended La Trobe University and completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice.

The same year, they also pursued a Master of Laws degree in Global Business Law at La Trobe University, which they completed in 2006.

In 2008, they began their studies at La Trobe University again and pursued a Doctorate of Juridical Science in Law, which they completed in 2010.

Additionally, they obtained various certifications throughout their career, including a Certification in Crypto Regulation and Financial Crime Compliance (CRFCC) from RAW Compliance in August 2021, a Diplomado Derecho de la Insolvencia from Escuela Libre de Derecho in September 2020, and a National Committee on Accreditation from the Federation of Law Societies of Canada in November 2011.

Jason also obtained the title of Associate from the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators in June 2006 and became a Lawyer of the Supreme Court of New South Wales in January 2006.
