Heinin Zhang has a wealth of work experience, beginning in 2010 when they served as a Summer Intern in the Government Affairs Department of Siemens. In 2012, they became a Real Estate Investment Banking Summer Analyst at CITIC Securities Company Limited. From 2014 to 2015, they worked as a Securities Summer Analyst and Credit Sales at Goldman Sachs. From 2017 to 2019, they worked as Credit Sales at Barclays Investment Bank. During 2019, they also worked as a Google for Startups Resident and Co-founder of yhangry (YC W22).

Heinin Zhang is currently enrolled in Y Combinator. Previously, they obtained a WSET Level 2 certification from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust in 2020. From 2011 to 2014, they attended The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and obtained a BSc in Philosophy and Economics. In 2010, they attended Beijing Language and Culture University and obtained a degree in Mandarin Chinese. From 2003 to 2010, they attended German Embassy School Beijing and obtained a German Abitur (A-Level equivalent) with an overall score of "1.1" in German, Mathematics, Theirtory, and English.
