Jan-Len Smit currently serves as the Assistant General Counsel at Yellow Card App, focusing on payments, corporate structuring, and regulatory affairs since April 2024. Prior to this role, Jan-Len held the position of Chief Legal Officer at Altify from July 2022 to March 2024, where responsibilities included securities, structuring, and regulatory affairs. Jan-Len was the General Counsel at Invictus Capital from February 2021 to June 2022, specializing in venture capital, DeFi, asset management, and regulatory affairs. An internship at the United Nations' Office of Legal Affairs in 2019 included assistance on issues related to international economic law. Jan-Len began a legal career at ENSafrica, advancing through roles from Candidate Attorney to Partner, representing multinational clients across various sectors in complex commercial litigation and transactions.
