Tuncay Nerat has a diverse work experience that spans over several years. Tuncay began their career in 1995 as a Dealer & Strategist in the Research Department at HAK Menkul Değerler A.Ş., where they conducted stock dealing, prepared market analysis reports, and managed an investment fund. In 1997, they joined Yapı Kredi as a Unit Manager, responsible for IT projects related to Treasury, Private Banking, and Investment & Portfolio Management. Tuncay later became a Portfolio Project Manager, leading project teams, coordinating reporting, and streamlining project management methodologies. From 2010 to 2016, they served as Vice President in IT Service Deployment & Management and Payment System Operations, where they implemented ITIL 4 practices, established KPIs, and negotiated cost-effective contracts. Overall, Tuncay Nerat has a strong background in project management, IT service deployment, and payment system operations.

Tuncay Nerat attended the following educational institutions:

- Harvard Business School, where they completed a course on Disruptive Strategy with Clayton Christensen in 2018.

- Marmara University, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Institute of Banking and Insurance / Department of Capital Markets and Stock Exchange between 1995 and 1998.

- Istanbul University, where they received a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Business Administration from 1990 to 1994.

In addition to their educational background, Tuncay Nerat has obtained certifications, including the Koç Dialogues Development Program from the NeuroLeadership Institute in 2021, the Leadership: People, Teams and Organizations course from Columbia Business School in 2021, and the ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management from EXIN in 2014.
