Karen Yang is an accomplished student leader currently serving as the Communications Director for the Yale College Council, where responsibilities include liaising with media, managing social media platforms, and maintaining effective communication with the student body. In previous roles, Karen has demonstrated creativity and design leadership as Vice President of the Sophomore Class Council, spearheading event planning to enhance student engagement. As a Research Assistant at the Yale Institution for Social and Policy Studies, Karen analyzes political endorsements and their impacts on public opinion. Additional leadership positions include roles in Yale Model United Nations as chair and vice chair, and as Director of Outreach for the Yale Chinese Language and Career Initiative, where strategic initiatives are implemented to expand network engagement. Karen also advises first-generation and low-income students as a Yale & You Counselor and has interned in project management for 1stGenYale. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Economics at Yale University, Karen's diverse experiences reflect a strong commitment to student advocacy and community building.
