Ilan Ben-Bassat is a seasoned expert in research and data science with extensive experience in leading innovative projects across various sectors. Currently serving as a Senior Research Scientist at Yahoo since May 2023, Ilan focuses on large language models for Yahoo Finance and Yahoo Mail. Previously, Ilan was the Head of Innovation Research at Pagaya, driving the establishment of a new asset class and overseeing a significant partnership with Klarna, as well as leading a multidisciplinary innovation research team. Other notable roles include Data Science Tech Lead at Cybereason, where Ilan advanced cybersecurity research, and a PhD candidate and lecturer at Tel Aviv University, specializing in machine learning for bioinformatics.
