Sam Yam is a seasoned entrepreneur and technology leader, recognized for co-founding Patreon in 2013, where Sam currently serves as President and CTO, enhancing traditional patronage for artists and creators. Concurrently, Sam contributes to Y Combinator as a YC Expert, mentoring startup founders since 2017. Sam's experience includes leadership roles at AdWhirl, where Sam founded the mobile ad platform before its acquisition by AdMob and Google, as well as engineering positions at Loopt and product management at Ning.
