Ferdinand Mendoza is a Principal Mechanical Engineer at Xscape Photonics Inc since December 2022, with a solid background in mechanical engineering across various high-tech companies. Previously, Ferdinand held roles such as Member of Technical Staff at Cerebras Systems, where contributions included the design of a cooling interface for a Wafer Scale Engine and a compact coolant pump unit. At Infinera, Ferdinand focused on the mechanical design of a DCO module and optical sub-assemblies. With extensive experience at Lumentum, Ferdinand designed cooling systems for high-power fiber laser modules and led projects that achieved significant cost reductions and improved performance for transceiver modules. Earlier work at JDSU and Canesta involved the development of communication optical products and collaborative PCB design. Ferdinand earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from San José State University in 2007.
