Derek Collison is a seasoned entrepreneur and investor, currently serving as Founder and CEO of Synadia Communications Inc. since December 2017. In parallel, Derek holds positions as a Board Member at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center and an investor in several companies, including COVAXX, Vicarious AI, Xperiel, Prodea Systems, Heavybit Industries, and Savonix, Inc. Furthermore, Derek has been an Innovation Board Member at XPRIZE since April 2015, focusing on fostering innovative solutions for global challenges. Previously, Derek founded and served as CEO of Apcera until December 2017, where a secure, policy-driven cloud platform was developed. Derek obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Maryland Baltimore County from 1986 to 1990.
