Collin Evans has a strong background in mechanical engineering with experience in various industries. Collin is currently working as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Xos Trucks since October 2022, where they previously held the position of Mechanical Engineer from March 2021. Prior to that, they gained experience at Honda Performance Development (HPD) as a Design Engineer from August 2019 to August 2020, working on the cooling system of IndyCar engines and utilizing FEA models for component development. Before HPD, Collin worked as an Assistant Engineer at Accident Reconstruction Analysis, PLLC from August 2017 to August 2019, inspecting accident scenes, conducting research, and utilizing 3D scanning technology. Collin also served as the Powertrain and Electronics Lead for Wolfpack Motorsports from October 2015 to June 2019, managing subsystem groups and improving construction methods. In addition, Collin had internships at Richard Childress Racing in 2018, where they focused on vehicle dynamics, and at Environmental Air Systems LLC. from 2014 to 2015, working on piping and duct systems in industrial facilities. Their internship at Öhlins USA in 2012 involved assembling and testing suspension dampers.
Collin Evans pursued their education at North Carolina State University, where they completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from 2013 to 2017. Building upon their undergraduate studies, they furthered their academic journey at the same institution and obtained a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from 2017 to 2019.
