David Graham

Senior Scientist at xilis

David Graham is a Senior Scientist at xilis. Previously, they worked as a Scientist at United Therapeutics Corporation from July 2019 to May 2022. Prior to that, they were an R&D Scientist at BioAesthetics from July 2018 to July 2019, where they designed non-human primate and mouse studies for a novel allogeneic nipple graft, co-wrote successfully funded SBIR ($256K) and two phase 1 STTR grants ($251K each), and managed a direct report. David also co-developed a patented technology using hydrogel-based drug delivery systems in human skin for treating burns, hernia repairs and chronic wounds.

From September 2013 to July 2018, David Graham worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where they developed a novel cell-based assay to measure drug effects on the invasive behavior of metastatic cells using patterned substrates and super-resolution microscopy. David also mentored 2 graduate students on experimental design and execution.

Before that, they held the position of Laboratory Research Assistant III at the Marine Biological Laboratory from June 2008 to August 2013.

David Graham obtained their Masters degree from the University of Massachusetts Boston in 2007.

David Graham received their PhD in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. David then went on to receive their MS in Molecular Biology from UMass Boston. Lastly, they received their BS in Biology from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.
