Bill Brunnett has worked in the medical device industry since 1992. Bill began their career at Micropolis as an Engineering Manager, MTS, Sr. Principal Eng, Principal Eng, and Senior Engineer. In 1998, they joined Philips Medical Systems as a Principal Staff Engineer and led the development of the industry's first air bearing system for supporting the x-ray system on a CT scanner, as well as the mechanical development of the industry's first large bore CT scanner. In 2002, they moved to Medtronic as a Principal Mechanical Engineer, where they led the development of several ENT related medical devices. In 2009, they joined Edwards Lifesciences as a Senior Manager of Advanced Technology and Distinguished Engineer of Heart Valve Therapy. Bill led cross-functional project teams in the development of accessory sets for new tissue heart valve product lines, as well as the design team for the Physio Tricuspid annuloplasty ring. In 2014, they co-founded Summer Life Naturals with their partner Ingar Brunnett and developed and manufactured herbal supplements. In 2016, they joined Navigate Cardiac Structures, Inc. as Director of Engineering. Finally, in 2017, they joined Xeltis as Director R&D, leading R&D in the development of bio-absorbable heart valves.
Bill Brunnett earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University.
