Wouter Ruys has extensive work experience in various finance and operations roles. Wouter started their career at PricewaterhouseCoopers as a Senior Auditor before moving on to Fiege as a Warehouse Controller and Business Analyst. Wouter then joined Avnet Technology Solutions as an FP&A Analyst and later became a Business Controller for the Western Region TS EMEA. After that, they worked at Ingersoll Rand as an FP&A Analyst, Commercial Controller, and Manager Commercial Controlling EMEA. Currently, they are working at Xeikon as the Manager Business Controlling and General Manager Xeikon America. Wouter has also held the positions of CFO and Vice President of Global Operations at Xeikon. Overall, Wouter Ruys has a strong background in financial analysis, management reporting, and operations management.

Wouter Ruys completed an Executive Development Program in Strategy Implementation & Leading Change at Vlerick Business School from 2019 to 2020. Wouter also pursued a Leading Change program at the same school during the same time period. Prior to this, they attended Antwerp Management School from 2011 to 2012, where they completed an Executive Programme in Financial Performance Management. In 2001, Wouter obtained a Master's degree in Economics, although the specific institution is not mentioned. Before their master's, they attended the University of Antwerp from 1997 to 2001 to study Handelsingenieur, but did not complete the degree. Their earlier education includes attending Sint-Michielscollege Brasschaat from 1991 to 1997, where they focused on Wetenschappen-Wiskunde (Science-Mathematics).
