Pete Mathieson has extensive experience in tax management and strategy, currently serving as Vice President of Tax at Xcel Energy since February 2017. Prior to this role, Pete held the position of Tax Director at Northern Tier Energy from May 2013 to January 2017. Earlier in the career, Pete was a Senior Manager at Deloitte Tax LLP for over eleven years, following a tenure as Tax Senior at Arthur Andersen & Co. from January 1999 to May 2002. Pete's academic credentials include a Master of Business Administration in Accounting from St. Thomas Graduate School of Business, a Doctor of Law from Mitchell Hamline School of Law, and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance from Northern Arizona University.
