Donald Lopez, P.E. is a highly experienced Civil Engineer with a strong background in hydro engineering and project management. Currently serving as Principal Hydro Engineer at Xcel Energy since January 2022, Donald has previously held the position of Engineering Project Manager at Marine Diving Solutions, LLC from October 2019 to December 2021, where responsibilities included overseeing marine construction projects. Prior experience includes working as an Associate Engineer at W. W. Wheeler & Associates, Inc. from March 2003 to September 2019, as a Volunteer with the Peace Corps from March 2000 to July 2002, and as an Engineer at GEI Consultants, Inc. from August 1996 to February 2000. Donald holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder, earned between 1991 and 1996.
