Michelle Shevin is a technology advisor at X4Impact Inc. Michelle was previously a technology fellow at the Ford Foundation and a research strategist at Luminary Labs. Michelle has also worked as a research associate at the Naval Postgraduate School.

Shevin's work focuses on understanding the implications of emerging technologies on society. Michelle is particularly interested in surveillance capitalism, data and tech ethics, algorithmic bias and discrimination, declining trust in institutions, and the technological automation of structural inequality.

Shevin is committed to helping translate insights about emerging technologies into programmatic and strategic directives that can help promote justice and civil society.
