Kurt Race is an experienced broadcast engineer currently working at WXMI-TV since November 2017. Additionally, Kurt is the owner and designer of Studio308, a design group specializing in creating custom sets, furniture, and artwork. Previously, Kurt served as CTO and multimedia tech at WZZM 13 from December 1999 to November 2017, overseeing all aspects of on-air products. Kurt also contributed as a production artist at DG Records, developing innovative merchandise for international bands, and worked as an art director for Nights of Fear, where design and management of haunted house projects were primary responsibilities. Early career experience includes roles at MEIJER as a sales clerk and assistant grocery manager. Kurt holds multiple degrees in communications, theater design, environmental and industrial design, and environmental design from various institutions, including Grand Valley State University and Grand Rapids Community College.
