Mirus Ponon is the Founder and Chairperson of the ASEAN Youth Advocates Network, an international youth-led non-profit organization focused on youth development and advocacy across Southeast Asia. With experience in various roles, Mirus serves as an intern with WWF-Philippines and has held the position of Project Manager at Resilient.PH, where responsibilities included incubating resiliency programs in collaboration with the World Bank. Mirus has previously coordinated surveys for the We Are Family Foundation and led the Student Catholic Action of the Philippines as National Coordinator. As a Philippine Representative for UN Women’s 30 for 2030 Network, Mirus advocated for women's rights. Mirus also represented the Philippine delegates in the ASEAN University Student Council Union and completed internships with the Office of Senator Francis Pangilinan and makesense Philippines. Mirus holds a Bachelor's degree in Development Studies from De La Salle University, has pursued advanced studies in cultural anthropology and development at KU Leuven, and has completed fellowships in entrepreneurship and peace studies.
