Yong Zhu has extensive experience in business development and alliance management within the biopharmaceutical industry. Currently serving as the Head of Business Development and Alliance Management for the North America West Region at WuXi Biologics since 2019, Yong previously held several key positions at Genentech from 2004 to 2019, including Head of Alliance Management in China and Principal Clinical Development Procurement Manager. Yong also served as Partnership and Product Transfer Lead, managing collaborations with Contract Manufacturing Organizations. Early career experience includes a role as Senior Portfolio Manager at Nastech Pharmaceutical and as a Research Scientist at Bristol-Myers Squibb, focusing on drug discovery and development. Yong Zhu holds an MBA from Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management, a Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology from Fudan University, and a PhD in Biochemistry from The Graduate Center, City University of New York.
