Abirami Kugadas currently serves as Associate Director of the Oncology and Immunology Unit at WuXi AppTec since August 2023. Prior to this role, Abirami held the position of Senior Scientist at Takeda from June 2020 to July 2023 and worked as a Scientist at Eurofins PSS Insourcing Solutions between December 2018 and June 2020. Abirami's earlier experience includes serving as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Harvard Medical School from October 2014 to December 2018, and as a Graduate Research Assistant at Washington State University from January 2011 to September 2014. Additionally, Abirami has held research positions at the University of Minnesota and the Veterinary Research Institute in Sri Lanka, as well as a Junior Lecturer position at the University of Peradeniya. Abirami Kugadas earned a Ph.D. in Immunology and Infectious Diseases from Washington State University, a Master of Science in Infectious Diseases from the University of Minnesota, and a B.V.Sc from the University of Peradeniya.
