Ryan Gersava is a visionary leader and social entrepreneur based in the Philippines, serving as the Founder and Chairman of Virtualahan since 2015, where an innovative approach was developed to enhance educational and employment opportunities for persons with disabilities and other marginalized communities using technology. Elected as an Ashoka Fellow in 2019, Ryan focuses on creating systemic impact on a global scale. In addition to leading various initiatives, Ryan holds positions as Board Member and Executive Director at Hyve, Co-Founder of HepaHealth and Activating Rural Changemakers (ARC), and is an active member of the Global Shapers Community. Ryan's involvement in the WSA as Grand Jury and Country Expert, along with participation in other notable programs like TED Fellows, underscores a commitment to championing inclusive innovations and fostering social change. Ryan holds a Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology and completed a Social Business Bootcamp at the Ateneo Center for Social Entrepreneurship.
