John Lien is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in embedded systems and control engineering, currently serving as a Senior Embedded/Control Engineer at Wright Electric since March 2022. Prior roles include Senior Research Scientist at SeaLandAire Technologies, and Research Scientist at Teledyne Scientific & Imaging. John began academia as a Graduate Research Assistant at North Carolina State University, where a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering was earned. Additional technical expertise was developed at TSMworks as a Lead Developer and at Nekton Research as an Electrical Engineer. John holds an MS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a BS in Computer Engineering and Mathematics from Virginia Tech.
