Alex Kirchner has a diverse background in meteorology, with experience in various roles at different television stations. Alex began their career as an intern at WKOW-ABC 27 in 2008. Alex then moved on to KCWY, where they worked as a Morning/Noon Meteorologist from July 2008 to July 2010. Following that, they joined WXOW News 19 as a Weekend Meteorologist from August 2010 to January 2012, and then as a Morning Meteorologist from January 2012 to August 2014. Since August 2014, they have been working as the Chief Meteorologist at WREX-TV, where they produce and delivers weather forecasts for multiple broadcasts.
Alex Kirchner attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 2004 to 2008, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Atmospheric and Oceanic Science. In 2014, Alex also obtained the Certified Broadcast Meteorologist (CBM) certification from the American Meteorological Society.
