Akira Wakatsuki has a diverse work experience in the automotive industry. Akira has recently held the position of Senior Engineer at Woven by Toyota since January 2021. Prior to that, from 2019 to 2020, they worked as an Engineer at Toyota Research Institute - Advanced Development.
Akira's early career started at Toyota Motor Corporation in 2012, where they were a Vehicle Quality Engineer until 2014. Akira then joined Toyota Kirloskar Motor in 2015, again as a Vehicle Quality Engineer. During this time, Akira focused on analyzing vehicle data, identifying root causes of quality issues, and developing plans to improve quality assurance processes.
From 2016 to 2018, Akira rejoined Toyota Motor Corporation as a Vehicle Quality Engineer. Here, they played a key role in reducing turnaround time for vehicle quality resolution, analyzing vehicle data for cost reduction, and interviewing potential users to support democratization of vehicle data usage.
Prior to their career in the automotive industry, Akira gained some experience as a Practice School employee at Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation in 2009.
Akira Wakatsuki pursued their education in the field of Chemical Engineering at The University of Tokyo. From 2005 to 2009, they completed their Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree. Following this, Akira furthered their studies at the same institution and obtained a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree from 2009 to 2012. Their educational background demonstrates a focused dedication to Chemical Engineering.
