Samantha Vieira

Physical Health And Wellness Coach at Wounded Warrior Project

Samantha Vieira has a diverse work experience history. Samantha started their career as a Computer Lab Assistant at Trinity University from 2010 to 2013. Samantha then worked as a Licensed Insurance Producer at State Farm from January to August 2014. Following that, they worked as a Field Interviewer for Westat, where they conducted interviews for the National Study of Health and Safety from October 2014 to July 2015.

In 2015, Samantha joined Salud Family Health Centers as a Care Manager and Patient Health Educator until November 2016. Samantha then worked at Mental Health Partners as a Bilingual Wellness Coach from November 2016 to July 2017. At Mental Health Partners, they supported clients in goal-setting sessions and developed wellness class curriculums.

From August 2017 to June 2018, Samantha worked as a Health Coach at the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth. Samantha engaged patients in health coaching sessions and collaborated with an interdisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes.

In 2018, Samantha joined UT Health San Antonio as a Research Specialist. Samantha managed an NIH-funded project and fostered community engagement. Samantha'srole included meeting coordination and involvement with community partners.

Most recently, Samantha joined the Wounded Warrior Project in March 2020 as a Physical Health and Wellness Coach, where they develop and implements wellness programs to support wounded warriors.

Throughout their career, Samantha has demonstrated a commitment to supporting individuals in achieving their physical and mental health goals.

Samantha Vieira has a Master's Degree in Public Health from UNT Health Science Center. Samantha also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from Trinity University. Additionally, Samantha participated in a Study Abroad program at the School for International Training, focusing on Public Health, Race, and Human Rights in Brazil. In terms of certifications, they completed courses in CPR/AED/First Aid through the American Red Cross in June 2022, obtained their RYT® 200 certification from Yoga Alliance in November 2021, and completed TRX Suspension Training courses through TRX Training in July 2020.
