Russell Nehmer

Russell Nehmer is an experienced professional with a diverse background in military service, community engagement, and mentorship. Currently serving as a Peer Mentor for the Wounded Warrior Project, Russell provides support to individuals navigating various challenges. Active on the Board of Directors for Project Starburst, Russell contributes to initiatives addressing poverty in Mecosta and Osceola Counties. As a Veterans Liaison at Michigan State University, Russell assists veterans in accessing programs related to agriculture and farming. Additionally, Russell is a founding member and board member of Warriors and Caregivers United (WACU) in Michigan and has served as a councilman in Reed City, where involvement in local governance includes contributions to the Planning Commission. With a solid foundation in military intelligence and a commitment to supporting veterans and community needs, Russell is focused on utilizing expertise in various capacities after a distinguished career in the US Army. Educational achievements include degrees from Cochise College and the University of Stirling.
