Adrienne Ross

Senior Mental Health Training Specialist at Wounded Warrior Project

Adrienne Ross has a diverse work experience in the field of outdoor programming and mental health support. From 2019 to the present, Adrienne has been working at the Wounded Warrior Project as a Senior Mental Health Training Specialist. In this role, they have been responsible for organizing and conducting adventure-based mental health workshops for veterans, managing a caseload of 60 clients, and providing referrals and resources to program participants.

Prior to this, Adrienne worked as an Instructor and Field Program Coordinator at the Telluride Adaptive Sports Program from 2013 to 2019. Adrienne coordinated outdoor programming for individuals with disabilities, oversaw volunteer instructors, and trained volunteers in adaptive recreation curriculums.

In 2013, Adrienne served as a Summer Field Intern at the National Sports Center for the Disabled, where they provided various recreational activities to individuals with disabilities.

Before pursuing their career in outdoor programming, Adrienne gained customer service and problem-solving skills as a Barista at Pacific Lutheran University from 2012 to 2013.

Furthermore, they also interned at the Outdoors for All Foundation in 2013, assisting with snowshoeing trips and adaptive skiing and snowboarding programs for individuals with disabilities.

Throughout their work experience, Adrienne has demonstrated a passion for supporting individuals with disabilities through outdoor activities and mental health programs.

Adrienne Ross completed their Bachelor of Kinesiology degree at Pacific Lutheran University from 2009 to 2013. Adrienne is currently pursuing a Master of Social Work degree at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs, which they are expected to complete between 2021 and 2024. In addition to their academic achievements, Adrienne obtained a certification in Social and Behavioral Research from the CITI Program in April 2022.
