Chris Noble

Expert Representation From New Zealand at World Meteorological Organization

Chris Noble serves as the Chief Meteorologist and GM of Meteorological Integrity - Science & Innovation at MetService since February 1998, focusing on strategic planning for weather forecasting and engaging with international meteorological organizations. Previously held roles include Manager of Severe Weather Services and Manager of Public Weather Services, overseeing various meteorological forecast sections. As an Expert Representative from New Zealand with the World Meteorological Organization since 2014, Chris Noble has contributed to multiple committees related to tropical cyclones and service delivery. Chris Noble holds a Master of Science in Atmospheric Physics from the University of Canterbury and began a career in meteorology in 1998, progressing through various operational roles.
